| Obverse description | The obverse features the iconic La Semeuse (the Sower) figure, depicted in full length striding to the left while scattering seeds, rendered in high relief against a frosted rectangular cartouche at centre. The surrounding field is divided into two vertical bands of horizontal engine-turned lines, each populated by a row of five-pointed stars evocative of the European Union motif. The date is split across the two flanking panels, with '20' at the left and '10' at the right, while the monogram 'RF' (République Française) appears on a raised tablet at the lower right of the central cartouche. The design is inspired by Oscar Roty's celebrated Semeuse type, here reinterpreted within a stylised euro-coin layout. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a central decorative motif composed of intertwined branches of wheat and olive, rendered in finely detailed relief against a mirror-polished field, evoking themes of prosperity and peace traditional to French coinage. The arc legend 'cinquantième anniversaire du nouveau franc' curves around the upper periphery in an elegant cursive script, commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the New Franc introduced in 1960. The years '1960' and '2010' are inscribed in two lines at the upper centre of the field, flanking the floral composition. The denomination '100 EURO' is prominently placed in the lower portion of the field in bold serif lettering. |
