Reverse description A faithful reproduction of the reverse of the medieval gold Maravedí of Alfonso VIII of Castile, set within a beaded inner circle. The design features multi-line Arabic script arranged in concentric registers across the field, consistent with the original Almohad-style dinars that inspired Castilian gold coinage of the period. An outer band of Arabic inscription surrounds the central device, replicating the full epigraphic program of the historic prototype.
