| Obverse description | At centre, the coat of arms of the Hellenic Republic — a quartered shield bearing a white cross on blue — set within a circular wreath, positioned at the centre of a large sixteen-pointed star rendered in high relief against a polished field. The legend ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ arcs around the upper portion of the star, while the denomination 100 ΕΥΡΩ appears in the lower field. The entire design is framed by a continuous Greek meander (key) border running along the rim. |

Two circular shield-like elements flank his lower body, evoking an antique sculptural composition. The legend ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΜΥΘΟΛΟΓΙΑ arcs across the upper field, with ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝΑΣ inscribed below it, and the date 2018 appears to the right in the field.
