| Obverse description | A large, high-relief bust of Marianne faces right in the right portion of the field, rendered in a modern, sculptural style after the design of Joaquin Jimenez. To the left, a smaller incuse depiction of the classic La Semeuse (the Sower) strides forward against a background of radiating sunrays, taken after Oscar Roty's celebrated design. The denomination '100 €uro' appears in large characters along the lower portion of the coin, while the monogram 'RF' (République Française) is inscribed in the upper left field.
