Obverse description The Armenian state coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an eagle and lion supporting a shield bearing Mount Ararat with Noah's Ark, flanked by decorative laurel and wheat sprigs. Below the arms, the denomination '100' is inscribed in large numerals, with the word 'ԴՐԱՄ' (Dram) beneath in Armenian script. The date '1996' appears in the lower field flanked by two small ornamental stars. The circular legend 'ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ' (Republic of Armenia) runs along the upper periphery in Armenian script. The design is executed in a clean, modern relief against a flat field.
