Reverse description The central field displays a stylized design of two cranes rendered in a decorative Armenian folk-art idiom, their bodies composed of parallel engraved lines, overlapping a chessboard rendered in alternating raised and recessed squares. The composition evokes both Armenian cultural heritage and the game of chess. The curved legend 'XXXII CHESS OLYMPIAD' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin capitals, while 'YEREVAN ARMENIA' curves along the lower periphery. The date '1996' is inscribed in the lower central field between the two peripheral legends.
Reverse script Latin
