| Additional information |
Part of Armenia's "Zodiac" series issued by the Central Bank beginning in the mid-2000s, these coins were produced under contract at external mints — Armenia lacking its own facility capable of producing commemorative silver at this specification. The Cancer issue, like others in the series, was sold directly to collectors rather than released into circulation, making genuine wear essentially nonexistent on surviving examples.
The 28.28g/.925 silver specification is the same Crown-sized standard used by dozens of small issuing authorities during this period, coordinated through minting agreements with facilities in Germany, the UK, and the Czech Republic.
