Reverse description A dynamic figure of a high-jumper executing the Fosbury Flop technique is depicted in high relief at centre-right, arching over the bar against a stylised geometric background of radiating lines suggesting a stadium structure. To the left, a ceremonial torch stand bearing multiple flames is rendered in fine detail. The logo of the European Athletics Association appears in the lower centre field, flanked by the engraver's initials O.Π. The upper legend XIII ΠΑΝΕΥΡΩΠΑΙΚΟΙ ΑΓΩΝΕΣ ΣΤΙΒΟΥ ΑΘΗΝΑ 1982 arcs along the rim, while the lower field bears the inscription Α. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΔΑ 1896 and the Pindaric motto ΡΗΤΟΙ Τ'ΑΡΡΗΤΟΙ ΤΕ.
