Obverse description The national emblem of Singapore occupies the central field, featuring the lion and crescent-and-stars motif within its established heraldic composition. The date 2021 appears beneath the emblem. The legend 'SINGAPORE' and its equivalents in the four official languages of Singapore — Malay (SINGAPURA), Tamil (சிங்கப்பூர்), and Chinese (新加坡) — are inscribed around the four sides of the octagonal flan, one language per side.

Reverse description A boldly rendered ox strides dynamically toward the left across the central field, depicted in high relief with muscular detail and a ring through its nose, evoking strength and prosperity symbolic of the Lunar Year of the Ox. The denomination '$100' appears in the lower field, while the inscription '1 TROY OZ 999.9 FINE GOLD' is placed along the upper periphery of the octagonal flan.
