The "State of New Mexico" designation here is a collector label applied to a standard Federal Reserve Note — it simply indicates the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas issued this note, Dallas being the district bank serving New Mexico among other states. The note itself carries no New Mexico-specific printing or authorization; the regional attribution is a cataloging convenience.
