This is not a banknote. Maryland does not issue currency — the United States has had a single federal issuing authority since the National Currency Acts of the 1860s effectively ended state-level paper money. A "State of Maryland" 100 Dollar note dated 2022 is either a novelty item, a souvenir certificate, or a fantasy piece with no monetary standing. No such instrument was ever legal tender, and it has no place in a serious banknote catalog regardless of the hologram applied to its surface.
