Obverse description The complete coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, flanked by two woodcutters as supporters standing on a ribbon scroll bearing the national motto SUB UMBRA FLOREO; a mahogany tree rises above the quartered shield, which depicts tools of the timber trade and a sailing vessel in the base. The arms are encircled by an ornamental wreath of olive branches. The legend BELIZE arcs across the upper field, while ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS curves along the left and lower periphery. The fineness inscription 500/1000 FINE GOLD appears in the lower field beneath the wreath, and a continuous beaded border frames the entire design.
