Obverse description The coat of arms of Belize is centrally displayed, featuring two woodcutters as supporters flanking a shield quartered with tools and a sailing vessel, surmounted by a mahogany tree. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto 'SUB UMBRA FLOREO' (I flourish in the shade). The arms are encircled by an open wreath of olive branches, with the legend 'BELIZE' arching above and 'ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS' inscribed along the lower field. The fineness inscription '500/1000 FINE GOLD' appears below the wreath, and a beaded border runs along the inner rim.
