Reverse description The bimetallic reverse features a detailed portrait bust of William Shakespeare facing slightly right, struck in high relief within the gold (.9999) centre insert, based on the Chandos portrait tradition. Three diamond insets appear to the left of the portrait, flanking a stylised quill-and-scroll logo reading 'The Poets Collection 2014'. A facsimile signature of William Shakespeare is engraved in script beneath the portrait, with the individual serial number (e.g. 165/999) inscribed in the lower field of the gold centre. The silver outer ring bears the arc legends MASTERMINDS OF HISTORY across the top and WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE across the bottom, separated by raised dot ornaments, with a beaded inner border demarcating the two metallic zones.
