Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in the fourth definitive portrait as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left field and COOK ISLANDS along the upper right, with the denomination 100 DOLLARS inscribed in bold letters along the lower border. The portrait is set against a highly polished mirror field characteristic of the prooflike finish. The overall composition is austere and regal, emphasising the finely detailed hair and tiara.

Reverse description The reverse features a large, multi-pointed blue Swarovski crystal star inset at the centre of the design, dominating the field with its faceted, brilliantly refractive form. Radiating outward from the central crystal are polished silver rays interspersed with gilt-edged rectangular panels bearing colourised depictions of angelic and celestial figures in the manner of Renaissance religious art. Between the rays, small relief angel heads with gilded wings and five-pointed star motifs are distributed around the circumference. The legend SILVER STAR appears in arced lettering at the top of the field, with the date 20 17 flanking the central design at the mid-section, and the inscription .999 FINE SILVER 1 KG along the lower border.
