Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicting the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara with elaborately styled hair. Reverse description Hades, Greek god of the underworld, is depicted seated upon a throne constructed of bones and skulls, shown in a commanding frontal pose. He wears his iconic invisibility helmet (the Helm of Darkness) and is robed in regal garments befitting his divine status. The three-headed guardian of the underworld, Cerberus, accompanies the deity at the base of the composition. The Perth Mint's mintmark P appears in the field alongside the inscription HADES.
