Reverse description A dramatic high-relief composition set within a decorative circular frame with geometric notched border elements. The central field depicts a Chinese junk under full sail navigating turbulent seas, its cannon firing through the smoke of battle. Entwined around the hull and churning waves is a fearsome sea dragon with scaled coils and tentacles, evoking the legendary exploits of the infamous Chinese pirate commander Ching Shih. The legend CHING SHIH arcs along the upper right periphery, with the inscription 1 oz .9999 GOLD to the upper left. The engraver's initials AWB appear to the lower right of the central design.
