Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA
(Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse description The reverse features a finely engraved portrait of Albert Einstein, adapted from the celebrated 1948 photograph by Yousuf Karsh, depicting the physicist in three-quarter view with his hands clasped before him and a characteristically contemplative expression. The portrait occupies the central field within a recessed panel, with Einstein's wild hair and aged features rendered in high relief with exceptional numismatic artistry. To the right of the portrait, the iconic mass-energy equivalence formula E=mc² appears in the field. The legend CANADA is inscribed along the upper rim, while the denomination 100 DOLLARS and the date 2015 appear along the lower rim, separated by raised dots.
