Reverse description A highly detailed depiction of a monkey clambering across flowering tree branches, rendered in high relief against a frosted field. The animal is shown in dynamic motion, gripping an upper branch with both hands while its body extends diagonally across the design, its long fur and tail finely engraved. Blossoming flowers and foliage fill the surrounding field in an elegant naturalistic composition. To the lower left, the large Chinese character 猴 (Monkey) appears in the field, accompanied by the date 2016 at the top and the fineness and weight inscription 1oz .9999 Au along the lower rim. A small mintmaster's mark is visible to the right of the central design.
