Reverse description The reverse presents a juxtaposition of two effigies commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Queen's accession: a silhouette profile of the young Princess Elizabeth facing left occupies the left portion of the field, while a detailed three-quarter facing portrait of the young Queen, draped and wearing a drop earring, is rendered in relief to the right. A St. Edward's Crown appears at the top centre between the two effigies. The royal cypher EIIR with GVI+ below is inscribed to the left in the field, referencing both Elizabeth II and her father King George VI. The denomination 100 DOLLARS appears in the lower centre field. The surrounding legend reads ACCESSION OF ELIZABETH II · 50TH ANNIVERSARY · 1952 – 2002, separated by small dots, arcing around the full circumference of the rim.
