Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The Queen's hair is elaborately styled and she wears a drop earring. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left field and 'AUSTRALIA' along the upper right, separated by a fine beaded border. The denomination '100 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower arc, with the engraver's initials 'IRB' appearing discreetly beneath the portrait truncation.
