| Reverse description | A highly detailed, naturalistic depiction of the Kangaroo Paw flower (Anigozanthos), the floral emblem of Western Australia, rendered in high relief at centre. The plant's distinctive tubular, claw-like blossoms and long strap-like stems are shown with fine botanical accuracy. The denomination 100 DOLLARS is inscribed in the lower exergue in bold lettering, with the initials HH — denoting the engraver — visible in the lower right field. The overall design is set against a smooth, polished field that contrasts effectively with the sculptural relief of the floral motif. |

| Additional information |
The Kangaroo Paw series was part of Perth Mint's broader push in the 1990s to compete directly with the Australian Nugget series by offering collectors and bullion investors a botanically themed alternative. The 1997 issue is the final year of this short-lived series, which ran only from 1995 through 1997 before being discontinued — making the complete three-year run a finite and deliberate set rather than an open-ended bullion program.
