| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II after Arnold Machin's celebrated portrait, with the Queen wearing a tiara and her hair arranged in an elegant upswept style. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, characteristic of Franklin Mint production. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH THE SECOND above and BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS to the right, with the date 1975 in the lower exergual area flanked by two raised dots on either side. |
