Obverse description Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, engraved by Dan Thorne, occupying the central field within a decorative raised inner border. Surrounding the portrait, arranged in a continuous frieze between the inner border and the coin's rim, are finely detailed high-relief representations of all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac — including the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig — rendered in a flowing, stylised design. The circular legend reads CHARLES III · AUSTRALIA 2025, with the denomination 100 DOLLARS inscribed below the portrait. The engraver's initials DT appear in small relief to the right of the bust.
