Reverse description Two vibrantly coloured phoenixes, rendered in bold polychrome enamel applied over a mirror-proof gold field, face each other symmetrically at the centre of the design. Each mythical bird displays elaborate plumage in shades of blue, red, green, orange, and yellow, with their long serpentine tails curling dramatically to fill the lower field in sweeping coils. At the centre, between the confronted birds, appears the Chinese double happiness character (囍) incuse in the gold field, symbolising matrimonial joy and good fortune. Stylised auspicious clouds in relief occupy the background, enhancing the classical Chinese decorative aesthetic. The designer's initials 'LB', the Perth Mint privy mark 'P10', and the year '2026' appear in the right and lower centre field respectively.
