| Obverse description | Close-up frontal effigy of Liberty modeled after the Statue of Liberty, wearing a radiate crown with seven rays extending to the coin's edge, her draped shoulders visible at lower center. The legend LIBERTY arcs across the upper field, with the date 2010 positioned to the right of the effigy. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST appears in three lines at the right field, while E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed along the lower left rim. The design was engraved by John M. Mercanti and is struck in proof finish with frosted devices against mirror fields. |
