Fantasy notes occupy a strange niche — some are artist proofs with genuine craft behind them, others are novelty items dressed up in collector language. This one falls closer to the former. Franck Medina, a French designer who has produced work for several legitimate currency projects, brought enough technical discipline to this piece that it reads as a credible production exercise rather than a souvenir.

No issuing authority, no legal tender status, no monetary system behind it. The "Indochinese Peninsula Bank" has never existed.
