Obverse description Green and black note with a central intaglio portrait vignette of Queen Victoria in formal attire and crown, flanked by large green guilloche underprints bearing the word 'HUNDRED' in bold letters on either side. The upper portion carries the inscription 'PROVINCE OF CANADA' with denomination numerals '100' at left and right, while the lower margin identifies the printer as 'British American Bank Note Co., Montreal & Ottawa' and includes the signature line for the Deputy Receiver General.
