Obverse descriptionTexts in English and French. On the left side, the issuing institute and the Coat of Arms of Canada with a vertical holographic stripe. On the left is a portrait of Sir Robert Laird Borden, statesman and 8th Prime Minister of Canada from 1911 to 1920. In the centre is a front view of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa with its legend to the right. Below the legend is the denomination of the `100` note accompanied by a watermark with the portrait of Sir Robert Laird Borden and above the legend is a Canadian flag. The multicoloured printing is dominated by gold/yellow/green.
