| Obverse description | The obverse of this large rectangular silver planchet with arched top features the crowned coat of arms of Andorra at center, displayed within an ornate circular frame adorned with scrollwork. The motto VIRTUS UNITA FORTIOR appears on a ribbon scroll beneath the shield. The denomination 100 D. is inscribed in the field below the arms, with the date 2012 beneath it. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA arcs along the upper border of the coin in relief. The lower portion of the obverse is decorated with elaborate bas-relief architectural ornamentation including acanthus scrolls and two artist's palettes with colored enamel paint spots in red, blue, and yellow, referencing the fine arts theme of the issue. |
