Reverse description The bimetallic reverse features a three-quarter facing portrait of Ali Ammar (known as Ali La Pointe), the Algerian independence fighter and martyr, rendered in high relief within the aluminium bronze centre against a fine guilloche background. The name 'علي عمار' is inscribed in Arabic along the upper arc of the stainless steel ring. Four five-pointed stars are evenly positioned within the ring at the cardinal diagonal points. The Gregorian birth and death years '1930' and '1957' appear at the lower left and right of the inner border respectively, while the lower arc of the ring carries the dual-calendar date '2021 - 1443' in both Gregorian and Hijri numerals.
