Obverse description Central vignette presents a woman in traditional national costume seated at right center, her right hand holding a feather quill and her left hand resting on the shoulder of a young boy beside her; the boy wears a hat and holds a sword. At the lower field, a bunch of wine grapes, a microscope, and a book are arranged at the woman's feet. St. George's Church at Oplenac rises in the background. The issue date of 15 July 1934 commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the first Serbian banknote, originally issued by the Privileged National Bank of Serbia on 15 July 1884.
