Student meal coupons of this type were issued by the State Student Center in Skopje as a rationed subsidy system — students received a fixed allocation redeemable only at campus canteens, with the coupon acting as the transaction medium rather than cash. The 100 Denari denomination aligns with post-1992 Macedonian currency, placing this well after independence from Yugoslavia and the introduction of the denar following the short-lived denar/dinar transition period.
The dry stamp is the sole anti-counterfeiting measure, which was typical for institutionally-issued scrip of this kind rather than state banknotes. Locally printed, intended for a closed circulation, and almost never retained by students once used — surviving examples escaped destruction largely by accident.
