| Obverse description | Cast bronze cash coin with a central square perforation surrounded by a raised inner rim. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform fashion around the central hole, reading clockwise from top: 永 (Yong), 安 (An), 百 (Bai), 一 (Yi), together forming the legend 永安一百 (Yong An Yi Bai — Perpetual Peace, One Hundred Cash). The characters are rendered in bold relief within a plain field, enclosed between the inner rim and a raised outer rim. The overall style is typical of Five Dynasties period provincial cast coinage. |
