Obverse description Cast copper cash coin of large module featuring a central square hole flanked by four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform reading order. The reign title inscription 咸豐元寶 (Xianfeng Yuanbao) is disposed in the four quadrants of the obverse field: 咸 (top), 寶 (right), 豐 (bottom), 元 (left), rendered in regular script (kaishu). The characters are boldly cast in relief within a plain inner rim, surrounded by a raised outer border. The coin is of typical Qing dynasty cash format, with no additional decorative elements in the field.
