Reverse description Reverse of the rectangular bronze tally, bearing a central round hole. Eight Chinese ideograms in traditional regular script (kaishu) are disposed below the hole, reading from top right, top left, and then downward in sequence, forming the legend Zhun Xuan Zhun Shi Ba Jie Er Bai, indicating emergency authorization and a circulation limit of two hundred pieces valued at eighteen. The plain field contains no additional ornament beyond the cast inscription.
