| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in olive-brown tones and bears, at left, an oval intaglio vignette of a young woman in classical dress, framed by ornate guilloche borders. The bank title BANCO COMERCIAL DE MARACAIBO and subtitle COMPAÑIA ANÓNIMA appear across the top, with the denomination 100 rendered in large numerals within central guilloche cartouches on either side. The legend CIEN BOLÍVARES and a payability clause are inscribed in the lower central panel, with SERIE and Nº indicators flanking the zero-filled serial number fields; a red SPECIMEN overprint is applied diagonally across the centre. |
