Obverse description Central vignette depicts a llanero on horseback herding cattle across an open plain, rendered in fine intaglio engraving against a light guilloche underprint in green and blue. The bank title BANCO DE VENEZUELA SOCIEDAD ANONIMA appears in bold letterpress across the upper register, flanked on each side by the numeral 100 in large ornate figures. Serial numbers are printed in red at upper left and upper right, with CARACAS and the denomination legend CIEN BOLÍVARES inscribed in the lower portion above the payability clause and two manuscript signatures.
