| Obverse description | Red intaglio print over multicolour underprint with red serial numbers and black signatures; centre guilloche background carries the crowned "วปร" royal cypher surmounted by the Great Crown of Victory with a "๑๐"-form Unalom emitting seventeen rays from the apex jewel. Thailand's shift to polymer banknotes has been incremental rather than wholesale — the 100 Baht denomination in this substrate sits alongside continuing cotton-paper issues rather than replacing them outright. The Rama X series reflects the transition from the reign of Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), whose image dominated Thai currency for decades, to Vajiralongkorn, who ascended in 2016 but whose formal portraiture took several years to fully propagate across the note-issuing program.
The TBB#202 reference places this among the earliest catalogued polymer issues under Series 17, making its long-term print run and eventual withdrawal date still an open question as of issue.
