Obverse description Central intaglio portrait vignette of Salvador Correia de Sá e Benevides (1594–1688), the Portuguese admiral and colonial administrator renowned for recapturing Angola and São Tomé from the Dutch in 1648, set against fine guilloche underprint work. A secondary vignette of flamingos is integrated into the overall composition. The issuing authority and denomination are inscribed in letterpress across the note.
Obverse lettering BANCO DE ANGOLA CEM ANGOLARES
(Translation: Bank of Angola, One Hundred Angolares)
Reverse description Central intaglio vignette of a Nile crocodile in a naturalistic riverside setting, rendered with fine engraved detail including reeds, palms, and rocky terrain. The denomination inscription panel is positioned below the crocodile vignette, flanked by two large circular guilloche rosettes at lower left and lower right, with the numeral 100 repeated in the upper corners. The bank name appears in a decorative cartouche at the top, the whole printed in green on a pale ground.
