Obverse description Central field features the Polish crowned White Eagle, the national emblem of the Republic of Poland, displayed with wings spread and talons outstretched, rendered in high relief. The date 1991 is divided across the lower field, flanked to either side by the eagle's legs. The denomination ZŁ 100000 ZŁ appears in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA runs along the upper periphery, separated by raised dots. The mint mark (MW) of the Mennica Polska is visible beneath the eagle's talons.

Reverse description The central field depicts a mounted cavalryman on horseback in right profile, accompanied by additional soldiers and horses amid a woodland setting with bare-branched trees and conifers, evoking the partisan campaigns of 1939–1940. The word PRÓBA (trial/proof) appears in the upper left field, indicating the coin's pattern status. The arc legend ŻOŁNIERZ POLSKI NA FRONTACH II WOJNY ŚWIATOWEJ (Polish Soldier on the Fronts of World War II) curves along the upper periphery. Along the lower exergue, the inscription MJR HENRYK DOBRZAŃSKI 'HUBAL' identifies the subject, flanked by the dates 1939–1940. The designer's initials BCH are visible in the lower left field.
