| Reverse description | The national emblem of the People's Republic of China is prominently displayed at center, depicting Tiananmen Gate surmounted by five stars and encircled by sheaves of grain tied with a ribbon, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. A stylized decorative background featuring motifs symbolic of the Chinese New Year surrounds the central emblem, executed in delicate engraved lines. The legend 中华人民共和国 arcs along the upper periphery in Chinese characters, with the year of issue 2020 inscribed in the lower field. |

The 10-kilogram gold panda-series lunar issues have been produced by the China Mint in limited quantities since the lunar commemorative program expanded in scale during the 2000s. At this weight and diameter, striking uniform relief across the full planchet requires extraordinary press tonnage, and surface consistency on these pieces is notoriously difficult to achieve — the China Mint has never publicly disclosed exact mintage figures for the largest denominations, but independent estimates for 10kg lunar issues place production in the low double digits.
