Obverse description The obverse is set against a fine red guilloche underprint covering the entire field. At the top, the heading «Spremberger Stadtbanknote» is printed in Gothic blackletter, above the large denomination inscription «Hunderttausend Mark» in bold Gothic script. A central red vignette shows the arms of Spremberg — a crowned tower flanked by castle battlements. Below, the text of the promise to pay reads «zahlt die Stadtbank Spremberg L. gegen diesen Schein an den Inhaber», followed by the place and date «Spremberg L., den 20. August 1923» and the issuer name «Stadtbank Spremberg». The lower left carries a circular official seal of the City of Spremberg (Lausitz), and the note bears two manuscript signatures. A vertical serial number is printed along the left margin, and a vertical motto in Gothic script runs along both lateral borders.

Reverse description The reverse is the mirror impression of the obverse, showing the text and design elements printed through from the face side, as is typical of single-sided Notgeld issues of the German inflation period. The circular municipal seal of the City of Spremberg (Lausitz) is visible at the lower right, and the two authorising signatures appear at the centre-lower area.
