Obverse description Central intaglio vignette of President Woodrow Wilson in three-quarter portrait, rendered in fine line engraving against a golden-orange underprint. The denomination 100,000 appears in large numerals at all four corners and along the lower border, with the gold seal and series designation to the left of the portrait. Facsimile signatures of the Treasurer and Secretary of the Treasury appear at lower left and lower right respectively, with the place of issue noted as Washington, D.C.
