Štamparija Oslobođenje was a newspaper printing facility in Sarajevo — not a security printer — pressed into producing currency during the siege. The Bosnian government had virtually no access to specialized banknote paper or intaglio equipment, so these notes were produced on whatever materials the besieged city could supply. The Oslobođenje building itself was repeatedly shelled throughout 1992–1993, and the press kept running.

The hyperinflationary denominations climbed steeply through 1993, making this 100,000 Dinara note a product of economic collapse as much as wartime improvisation.
