| Obverse description | Portrait vignette of Nicaraguan poet and revolutionary martyr Rigoberto López Pérez at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint. A large black surcharge overprint of the new denomination numeral '100,000' and the legend 'CIEN MIL CÓRDOBAS' is applied over the central guilloche panel of the original 100 Córdobas note. Two facsimile signatures appear at the bottom centre, attributed to the Presidente del Banco Central de Nicaragua and the Ministro de Finanzas de la República, with the serial number repeated at lower right. |
