| Obverse description | Printed in black on white paper, the obverse carries the issuer title 'LANDESBANK DER RHEINPROVINZ' at the top within a multi-ruled rectangular border with a scalloped outer edge. The denomination '100 MILLIARDEN MARK' is set in large bold crosshatched Gothic lettering at centre, with an eagle watermark-style underprint behind, and the series designation 'Reihe 1' in script to the left alongside a six-digit serial number to the right. In the lower left, a circular official seal reading 'SIEGEL DER RHEINPROVINZ' encloses a Prussian eagle, while a block of payment text and a manuscript signature of the General-Direktion appear to its right; a vertical left-margin legend states the note's validity throughout the occupied Rhineland territory until 1 April 1924. |
