| Obverse description | Printed in brown on cream paper, the note carries a scalloped guilloche border framing the entire face. The issuing authority 'Kreise Kreuznach u. Meisenheim / Stadt Kreuznach' is set in Gothic blackletter at the top, with the denomination 'Hundert Milliarden Mark' in large bold Gothic script occupying the central field, overlaid by a lightly printed anchor-and-cross vignette as an underprint security device. A vertical panel at left bears validity text within a ruled rectangle, below which the serial prefix letter and number are printed, while the lower portion carries the place and date 'Kreuznach u. Meisenheim, den 18. Oktober 1923', three official circular cachets, and three manuscript signatures of the respective Landräte and Bürgermeister. |
