Obverse description The obverse of this octagonal proof issue features the crowned Polish eagle — the national emblem of the Republic of Poland — rendered in high relief against a frosted field at the upper left, with the date 2010 inscribed above to its right. Behind and overlapping the eagle, a dynamic partial depiction of a cavalry soldier's uniform elements is visible, including a czapka (lancer's cap), epaulette, and accoutrements, creating a compositional bridge with the reverse theme. The lower register bears a recessed panel containing the legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA and the denomination 10 ZŁ in bold Latin characters. The engraver's initials RK (Robert Kotowicz) appear in the lower left field.
