Reverse description A right-facing draped bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski, the last monarch of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, is portrayed in the center-left of the field in finely detailed relief, wearing a periwig and lace cravat. Behind the bust, a stylized stele or architectural element rises vertically, upon which a cursive inscription in Polish reads '3. Mxiás Roku 1791.' — a reference to the Constitution of 3 May 1791. The legend STANISŁAW AUGUST arcs along the upper left periphery, and PONIATOWSKI arcs vertically along the right. The dates 1764 and 1795, denoting the years of the king's reign, are arranged in two lines at the lower right of the field.
